Krystal Marie Ball
Krystal Marie Balm (born on November 24, 1980) is an American journalist and political commentator. She was previously a political candidate, as a host of American television at MSNBC as well as a regular contributor of The Huffington Post, former host and co-host of The Hill's Rising together with Saagarenjeti. Enjeti and Ball have announced that they will quit the show in the month of May 2021 in order to start Breaking Points, a new independent venture that will be hosted by Krystal as well as Saagar. Ball is co-hosting with Kyle Kulinski on the podcast Krystal Kyle & Friends. She has appeared as a guest in shows such as Real Time with Bill Maher, Fox News (CNBC), Fox News (Fox News) as well as CNN (CNBC). In 2020, Ball is married to Jonathan Dariyanani. Ball attributes her new interest in politics partly due to her experience as a mother during the 2008 presidential primaries. Additionally, she also observed the US presidency election during her time in Jordan. She was able see the effect it had on people in Jordan and gained an appreciation for the global reach of US politics. She was part of the Senior Fellow of the New Leaders Council. Ball was chosen by the Democratic Party to represent Virginia's 1stCongressional District during the 2010 elections. However, she lost to Rob Wittman. From June 2012 until July 2015, she was host of The Cycle, an MSNBC program The Cycle. She created the People's House Project (a political action committee that is dedicated to Democratic causes) in May of 2017.
